Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, what we never store without asking, and how to change your mind at any time.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies - local storage, session storage and pixels - do comparable things. They can remember a preference, keep a session working, count a visit or support advertising measurement.
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, measure performance and - with your consent - for advertising measurement and personalisation. We handle them in line with Australia's Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and in line with Google's requirements for Consent Mode v2.
2. The categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Set before consent? | Consent signal controlled |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Page delivery, security, form submission, remembering your cookie choice | Yes - strictly necessary | None |
| Analytics | Measuring page performance, for example with Google Analytics 4 | No | analytics_storage |
| Marketing / advertising | Google Ads, remarketing, conversion tracking, ads personalisation | No | ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization |
3. Essential cookies and storage
These are strictly necessary and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them. They never enable analytics or advertising storage.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Session cookie | Keeps your enquiry form state - for example returning your answers if a field needs correcting | Until the browser is closed |
dtn_consent_v1 | Local storage entry | Records your cookie choice and the date you made it, so you are not asked again on every page | Until you clear it or change your choice |
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server access logs for security and reliability. These are not cookies and are not used for advertising.
4. Analytics cookies
Set only if you grant analytics consent. Where used, Google Analytics 4 helps us see which pages are read, how people move through the site and which devices they use. It is aggregated reporting; we do not use it to identify individuals.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes browsers for measurement | Up to 2 years | |
_ga_<container> | Maintains the measurement session state | Up to 2 years |
If you decline analytics, none of these are set and the site behaves identically.
5. Marketing and advertising cookies
Set only if you grant marketing consent. We advertise our event services in Australia and use these to measure which campaigns produce enquiries and, where relevant, for remarketing and ads personalisation.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Conversion attribution for Google Ads | Up to 90 days | |
_gcl_aw | Stores click information for conversion measurement | Up to 90 days | |
| Google Ads remarketing identifiers | Allows our advertising to be shown to previous visitors | Up to 540 days |
Advertising personalisation operates only where you have consented to it. If you decline marketing, no advertising or conversion cookie is set and no ads personalisation data is shared from this site.
6. Google Consent Mode v2
Our consent layer is implemented as Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make any
choice, the first consent event of your visit sets every signal to
denied:
ad_storage: denied- no advertising cookies or identifiersanalytics_storage: denied- no analytics cookiesad_user_data: denied- no user data sent to Google for advertisingad_personalization: denied- no ads personalisation
When you make a choice, a single consent update is sent that matches it exactly.
Accepting all grants all four. Declining keeps all four denied. Customising maps your
selection: analytics consent controls analytics_storage, and marketing
consent controls ad_storage, ad_user_data and
ad_personalization. Essential cookies are always active and never
enable either.
No Google Analytics, Google Ads remarketing, conversion tracking or personalisation tag is loaded before the matching consent exists.
7. Accept, decline or customise
The first layer of our cookie banner offers three equally prominent, identically styled buttons: Accept all, Decline and Customise. Declining is exactly as easy as accepting.
We do not use pre-ticked analytics or marketing checkboxes, cookie walls, hidden refusal options or any other dark pattern. Consent is never inferred from scrolling, from closing the banner or from navigating the site - only an explicit button press is recorded. The banner does not block the page content.
8. Changing or withdrawing consent
Use here, or the link of the same name in the footer of every page. The panel opens showing your current selection; change it and save, and a fresh consent update is sent immediately. Withdrawing consent also clears the analytics or advertising cookies previously set from this site.
9. Browser-level controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies entirely. Blocking essential cookies may stop the enquiry form working correctly. Clearing your browser storage will also remove our record of your consent choice, so the banner will ask again on your next visit.
10. Data shared with Google
Where Google services are used on this site and you have given the relevant consent, some data may be shared with Google and processed by Google under its own terms. Google explains this here:
- How Google uses data from sites or apps that use Google services
- Google Business Data Responsibility and privacy information
11. More information
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to access or correct it. For general guidance on privacy rights in Australia, or to make a complaint, see the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: https://www.oaic.gov.au/.
