Our position on gambling, stated plainly

1. Our position

Deal The Night does not provide gambling services. We are an event company that produces casino-themed offline entertainment for adult audiences in Australia.

This is strictly offline event entertainment. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes, and no online casino service.

The visual language of a formal casino evening - tables, chips, cards, a croupier in black tie - is the theme of the event. The mechanism that defines gambling, risking something of value on an uncertain outcome, is absent by design.

2. What we do not provide

• no real-money gambling;
• no betting or wagering of any kind;
• no deposits, buy-ins or cash-outs;
• no cash prizes or prizes of monetary value awarded for play;
• no online casino, betting platform or gambling application;
• no gaming machines, poker machines or pokies, and no imitation of them;
• no betting odds, sportsbook content or gambling promotions;
• no credit, lending or financial services;
• no participation by anyone under 18+.

3. Symbolic chips and points

Guests receive an equal welcome stack of symbolic chips, or a points allocation, at the start of the event. These are unmarked: no denominations, no currency symbols, no stated value. They cannot be purchased, topped up, redeemed, transferred for value or exchanged for money, goods, vouchers or services.

Where standings are tracked, they exist for the evening only, usually to support a short announcement near the end. They are discarded afterwards and have no value. Anything presented at the end of an event is a token of participation chosen by the client, never a payout.

4. Adults only

Participation is restricted to adults aged 18+, which is the adult age throughout Australia. Our staff may decline to involve any person who appears to be under 18 and cannot produce acceptable identification.

We do not market to minors, we do not use imagery of minors or of anyone who appears to be under 18, and we do not accept bookings for events whose primary audience is under 18.

5. If gambling has caused you or someone else harm

Although our events involve no money, a casino-themed setting can still be an uncomfortable or triggering environment for someone affected by gambling-related harm. We recommend that anyone experiencing gambling-related problems, or in recovery, does not take part in casino-style themed events, including ours.

If that is you, or someone you are bringing:

• you are welcome to attend the event and sit out the tables - nothing about the programme requires participation;
• tell us or any host and we will make that easy without drawing attention to it;
• if you are organising the event, tell us in advance and we can place tables so that the room has genuine space away from them.

6. What our staff do

• explain at the start of every event that chips are symbolic and nothing is wagered;
• decline, politely and without discussion, any attempt to introduce money into play, and notify the client's contact;
• never encourage a guest to keep playing, and never frame play as an opportunity to win anything;
• pause or close a table where behaviour is unsafe or a guest is significantly affected by alcohol;
• maintain the 18+ restriction for the whole event.

7. How we advertise

Our advertising describes an event service. We do not promote gambling, we do not use language that suggests money can be won, and we avoid the promotional vocabulary used by gambling operators entirely. Every key page of this website carries the statement that our events are offline entertainment with no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes and no online casino service.
