Most of what goes wrong at an event goes wrong before guests arrive: a lift that is narrower than the plan, a dock window that moved, a venue contact who was never told we were coming.
Being ten minutes away means we can do a site visit on a Tuesday afternoon, arrive three hours early without charging travel, and send a second vehicle if a venue changes the access route on the day.

Victorian end-of-year functions concentrate into three weeks. Dates from the last week of November through mid-December are usually committed by August, so an early enquiry is worth more than a flexible brief.

Venue curfews shape the run sheet
Many CBD and residential-adjacent venues have hard finish times. We build the programme backwards from the curfew so the last deal is not rushed.

Weather plans are not optional outdoors
Melbourne being Melbourne, any lawn or terrace event gets a written wet-weather position before the booking is confirmed - including where the tables move to.
